Join the Chaine

A key criterion which distinguishes La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs from other organizations involved in wine or food is the interrelation between amateur and professional.

There are two types of Chaîne membership:
- Professional Member: is classified as a member who owns or works in either a hotel or restaurant, such as a Hotel Owner, Hotel Director, General Manager or a Chef.
- Non-Professional Member: is classified as an amateur member who does not own or work in a hotel or restaurant. All other professions and business sectors fall into this member category


In the Chaîne we strive for balanced membership representing professionals, as well as knowledgeable laymen who, due to their interest in learning and/or well traveled backgrounds, are in a position to enjoy the pleasures engendered by good cuisine, good wine and good company. Membership in the Chaîne offers the opportunity for new members to meet other people who share a common interest in fine dining and good fellowship. For professional restaurateurs and hoteliers, it offers opportunities to demonstrate their exceptional skills and creativity to a discerning, appreciative audience. Membership is by invitation only, and applicants have to be sponsored by two current members. New applications are reviewed by the membership committee who makes the final decision on admissions. Upon receipt of an application, the applicant is put on the invitation mailing list for a few months. She/He may attend dinners as paying guest which provides the opportunity for the individual to experience and enjoy a few of the Chaîne's events. However, priority to attend Chaîne events is always given to current members.
